There is a growing recognition of the need and value of clinical supervision for all healthcare workers. Although, perhaps further behind, the need for clinical supervision has also been recognised by the veterinary profession.
There are many definitions for clinical supervision:
"At its simplest, supervision is a forum where supervisees REVIEW and REFLECT on their work in order to do it better" (Carroll, 2007).
A group of Maori from the helping profession: "For us Maori supervision means: gathering the treasures of the past into the competencies of the present for the wellbeing of the future".
Is a relational, collaborative process which facilitates the ethical and professional practice of the supervisee (s).
As an experienced clinical supervisor, I create a shared space which is compassionate and safe for the supervisee(s) I work with. The relationship I build with you is mutually respectful, congruent and based on trust. I ensure confidentiality, within the limits of the code of conduct and ethics that guide your given profession.
Without these core conditions, I believe clinical supervision, in its true form, cannot exist.
I enjoy supporting others in their work. I offer a menu of support that includes expanding knowledge and experiences, exploring blockages and celebrating successes. It is your session so I work at the pace and readiness that you feel comfortable with.
I offer individual and group clinical supervision and supervision of the supervisor.
I facilitate clinical supervision training for small groups working in the helping professions.
I believe that clinical supervision is critical in the type of work we do.

I offer Individual clinical supervision to health care workers and those working directly with animals.
It is recommended to have about 2 sessions within a month and then normally monthly. This can be more or less frequent, depending on your needs.
Each session is for one hour.
Sessions are available geographically to anyone, where zoom can be accessed and used.
I offer both zoom and face to face or telephone sessions.
The cost is $150 per session/hour.
A portion of this can be claimed in your tax return.
I offer group clinical supervision. The group can be made up of people from the same role and profession or a mixed group of people from various disciplines.
Ideally a group would be small (maximum of 7 supervisees). If groups are any larger, it would be recommended to extend the length of time of the session. No group should exceed 12 members.
If this is something you or the organisation would like please contact me with your particular needs.
Groups are facilitated face to face or by Zoom
Prices to be negotiated on application.
Contact to discuss.
I offer both individual and group clinical supervision training to both Non Government and Government Organisations. The training involves the theoretical foundations of clinical supervision. I believe that we need some theory but our learning is going to increase by practice, which is a high component of the training.
Contact me today to discuss the needs of the service and to negotiate the cost.
